Mr Mike Bolhuis confirms that, in conjunction with Specialised Security Services (SSS), a search and seizure warrant was successfully obtained by the South African Police Service (SAPS).
On 6 February 2026, SAPS executed the warrant at 109 Wilton Avenue, Bryanston, Sandton, in connection with an ongoing investigation involving Mr Emile de Witt and his life partner, Ms Monique de Lange.
During the operation, all electronic devices and documentation were confiscated. The seized electronic devices and documents will now be subjected to detailed forensic scrutiny, and all relevant evidence will be obtained and evaluated as part of the ongoing investigation.

SUMMARY OF MATTERS UNDER INVESTIGATION
Property and Vehicle Exchange Matter
Specialised Security Services is investigating a complaint in which Mr Emile de Witt offered a client a residential property valued at approximately R3,000,000 in exchange for her motor vehicle, valued at approximately R800,000.
According to the complainant, Mr de Witt also offered her associate employment as a Project Manager on a proposed development in the Broadacres area. The vehicle was intended to be used as part of a promotional competition linked to the development, where purchasers of units could potentially win one of four vehicles.
A written agreement was signed, and the vehicle was handed over. Approximately three weeks later, the complainant was contacted by We Buy Cars, enquiring whether she had sold the vehicle to Mr de Witt. She confirmed that no such sale had taken place and was informed that an invoice reflecting a sale transaction had been provided to We Buy Cars.
This matter remains under active investigation. A criminal case has been opened at Sandton SAPS.
Development Contracts – Broadacres Ext 15
Two companies were awarded contracts to construct 40 residential units within an estate in Broadacres Ext 15 by Mr Emile de Witt and Ms Monique de Lange. According to CIPC records, Ms de Lange is listed as the owner of Gravatin.
Contracts were signed by both parties; however, Mr de Witt signed the agreements using the name “Emile Matthews.” He introduced himself to the contracting companies under this name, after which site clearing and preliminary work commenced.
The companies were later informed that his legal name is Emile de Witt. As a result, two fraud cases were registered at Sandton SAPS.
STATUS OF THE INVESTIGATION
The seized electronic devices and documentation are currently undergoing forensic analysis. All material obtained will be evaluated and incorporated into the ongoing investigation conducted in cooperation with SAPS.
