PERSISTENT CONFIDENCE TRICKSTER, FRAUDSTER AND EMBEZZLER
Our SSS task team has been involved in an intensive investigation into
Mr Suhail Essack and his fraudulent dealings.
This is an ongoing investigation to forewarn and protect
unsuspecting members of the public.
TRANSACTION 1:
On 18 April 2023, Mr X made a payment of R1,200,000.00 to Mr Essack Suhail for a 2023 Blue Ford Ranger Raptor 3.0 V6.
The VIN number of this vehicle is 6FPFXXMX2FNP56873.
The vehicle was due to arrive 3 days later.
Mr Essack stated to Mr X that he had received another offer from a 3rd person to buy the vehicle for R1,265,000.00 cash.
A reimbursment would be paid over to Mr X immediately after the sale to the third person on 28 April 2023.
The vehicle was handed over to the third person and Mr X was never reimbursed.
TRANSACTION 2:
On 26 April 2023, Mr X made another payment of R1,197,49.69 to Mr Essack for a Bronze 2023 Ford Everest.
The VIN number of this vehicle is MNBRXXMAWRNG76712.
Mr Essack supplied an offer to purchase from a front buyer (Naseerah Cassim - Mr Essack’s wife), and she would take delivery of the vehicle on 4 May 2023.
On Monday, 8 May 2023, when Mr X wanted to collect the vehicle, Mr Essack told our client that he had a dealer that would pay Mr X R1,165,000.00.
Proof of payment would be sent to Mr X.
The proof of payment supplied to Mr X was fake/fraudulent.
We can confirm that the SAPS confiscated the vehicle and impounded it at their Pretoria West compound.
Our client never received a refund for the vehicle .
TRANSACTION 3:
On 27 April 2023, Mr Essack confirmed to Mr X that a Grey Ford Ranger Raptor was available for purchase from Mr Essack’s trusted supplier.
The VIN number is 6FPFXXMX2FPK27708.
Mr X paid Mr Essack R1,200,000.00 on 28 April 2023 and delivery of said vehicle was promised within 3 days.
Mr X never received the vehicle or his money back.
Mr Essack claims that Naseerah Cassim was the front buyer for this vehicle and that he (Mr Essack) paid over the money from Mr X to Naseerah Cassim.
To date, Mr Essack cannot provide any proof of payment to secure the vehicle that Mr X paid for.
TRANSACTION 4:
On 8 May 2023, Mr X made a payment of R1,135,000.00 to Mr Essack for a White Ford Everest Platinum 3.0 V6.
The VIN number was not supplied.
Mr Essack stated that the vehicle would be ready in 3 days.
After the delayed arrival of the vehicle, Mr Essack reassured Mr X that this vehicle was real and trust was needed.
To date, Mr X has not received the vehicle or his money back.
MODUS OPERANDI:
Mr Essack moves his clients by building a trusted business relationship over months.
He continuously delivers the vehicles and the payments as promised.
But as soon as he feels confident enough, he maintains an air of credibility but stops paying the money owed for the vehicles he sells.
Mr Essack owes Mr X a total of R3,660,000.00.
A criminal SAPS case has been opened against Mr Essack:
Sydenham SAPS
CAS 136/05/2023.
OTHER SAPS CASES OPENED AGAINST ESSACK:
SAPS Police Station and Case Number: Nigel CAS 90 /07/2022.
Accused of fraud of R5,000,000.00.
He was arrested and charged on 12/02/2024 and brought to Durban station regarding SAPS CAS 136/05/2023.
The matter was withdrawn in court after Suhail and his attorneys signed a repayment settlement agreement, which was subsequently not honoured.
The criminal charges will be reinstated owing to the breach of the repayment agreement, aiming to ensure that Suhail is held fully accountable under the law.
Essack was again arrested and charged and is currently in prison on another matter: SILVERTON SAPS CAS 540/4/2024.
It appears that Essack and his attorneys are attempting to manipulate the legal process by converting this criminal case into a civil case.
By doing this, they aim to not only avoid prison sentencing but also to prolong the case in the civil courts and potentially never have to pay.
