In a coordinated effort between Specialised Security Services, IRS Forensic Investigations, and Boksburg North SAPS,
Mr. Paul Blundell-Gibson was successfully arrested at his residence in Boksburg.
The arrest was conducted in connection with Boksburg North CAS 373/4/2022,
a multi-complainant case amounting to approximately R14 million in financial losses.
Mr. Gibson has been the subject of multiple fraud investigations by Specialised Security Services dating back to 2019, primarily linked to deceptive practices within the sale and purchase of gold coins and other commodities.
Mr. Gibson is operating under various entities and trading names, including:
Centaurus Trading
MetalNexus
Die Goudwoud
TopGrades
SA Silver
SA Gold
Through these entities, Mr. Gibson has systematically defrauded multiple victims, often convincing them to invest large sums in Kruger Rands and other commodities under false pretences. Many complainants have reported that he either failed to provide their purchases or withheld their funds under the guise of secure storage or resale arrangements. His indifference has led to substantial financial losses through deceit over the years.
Mr. Gibson has previously faced multiple arrests related to fraud cases. Despite ongoing legal actions and formal complaints, he continued to engage in fraudulent activity, accumulating additional victims.
His latest arrest marks a significant breakthrough in efforts to bring him to justice.
