Read PART 1 of this project regarding the robbery for context:

SSS is urgently looking for Mr. Mayeso Ginora Lufeya, alias Trust, alias Kinkhe.

Mr. Lufeya is a Malawian citizen.

THE ROBBERY:

  • The couple had lived on Witsloot Farm for two years, during which time they renovated a dilapidated house at their own expense.

  • Shortly after completing the restoration, they were instructed by the farm owner to vacate the property.

  • While they were in the process of packing their belongings, a violent attack and robbery occurred.

  • At approximately 21:00, the power went out while the wife was making coffee in the kitchen.

  • The couple, relying on solar power, found this unusual.

  • The husband went outside to investigate the power issue.

  • He encountered an armed assailant who pointed a firearm at him.

  • The husband attempted to lock the door to the solar power room where he was attacked but was overpowered by two additional suspects, who joined the armed robber in the assault.

  • The husband was severely beaten, and the suspects attempted to force gravel and sand into his mouth.

  • Despite his attempt to bite off the suspect’s finger, he was unable to prevent further violence.

  • The wife heard the commotion, and on attempting to investigate, she encountered two suspects at the kitchen backdoor.

  • She was forcibly returned to the kitchen and made to sit at the table.

  • The husband, injured and bloodied, was also brought to the kitchen.

  • The suspects were dressed in new royal blue, long-sleeved overalls and black hoodies.

  • They wore skeleton-like rubber masks and welding goggles.

  • Their footwear included black leather boots, black sneakers with white laces, and white sneakers.

  • The group comprised two white males and two black males.

  • The robbers held and tortured the couple with an electrical stun gun for several hours, pushing gravel into the couple's mouths, amongst other horrific torturing acts.

  • From our client's statement: "They had me a tight hold and I couldn’t move, they forced sand and grit in my mouth and held it tight shut. The grit cut my gums, so there was blood coming out. Another guy was holding my nose closed. One was holding my mouth and the other my nose."

  • They specifically targeted the couple’s gold and silver collection, which they seemed to know was stored in an underground bunker and in a safe in the kitchen pantry.

  • The robbers forced the couple to surrender the keys to both safes.

  • During the robbery, a black tactical 12-bore shotgun and a black 9mm pistol were also used.

  • One of the robbers discharged the shotgun outside, and additional suspects subsequently arrived.

  • The robbers loaded the stolen gold, silver, and memorabilia, totalling approximately R50 million, including Kruger Rands, 100-gram gold bars, and various forms of silver.

  • They also stole a .22 rifle.

  • After the robbery, the suspects used a bolt cutter they had brought along to cut through locks on neighbouring farms as they escaped.

  • They attempted to drug the couple with sleeping tablets.

  • This elderly couple endured grievous bodily harm and hours of severe emotional trauma.

  • Following a comprehensive investigation by SSS Specialist Investigators, all individuals involved in the violent robbery have been identified.

  • However, Mr. Mayeso Ginora Lufeya remains at large.

  • SSS appeals to the public for any information regarding his whereabouts.
