Over the years, Specialised Security Services (SSS) has assisted in countless missing person cases,
with many individuals being successfully located and reunited with their families.
However, there are still cases that remain unresolved despite extensive efforts, investigations, public appeals,
and ongoing searches. The list that follows represents those missing persons who have not yet been found.
SSS remains committed to every one of these cases and continues to believe that new information can emerge at any time.
We never give up on the search for answers, and we remain dedicated to supporting families until their loved ones
are located or the truth is uncovered.
THATO PAPOLE
Mr. Thato Papole was last seen on Wednesday night, 12 February 2025,
between 20:00 and 21:00.
He was seen with a Nigerian man named Austin.
A missing case has been reported at Loate Police Station, Winterveldt.
MARIA MOKWENA
Maria Mokwena went missing early on Sunday, 3 December 2023.
She was last seen at the Mamelodi Square Mall.
NTOKOZO VILIKAZI
Mr. Ntokozo Vilikazi was last seen by his family at his house in KwaZulu-Natal in 2021.
Mr. Vilikazi was known to work away from home for extended periods,
and his family only became concerned when they were unable to contact him.
GARY HUE KUN LAMB
It is unknown exactly when Mr. Lamb went missing.
A neighbour contacted the family on 21 September 2024, reporting that his gates and garage doors
had been open for several days. It appears that Mr. Lamb may have gone missing before that date.
ASHLEY ROMAN
Mr. Almonre Roman was last seen on the 5th of December 2022
when a family member took him to a supermarket in Despatch.
CCTV footage shows Mr. Roman getting into a white VW Kombi shortly after.
JAN DIRKSE GROBLER
Mr. Grobler was last seen on 3 May 2022 in the Scott Street area, Vanderbijlpark, at approximately 20:50.
Mr. Grobler left his residence at Busy Bee Hospice, Vaal Triangle, on foot.
ULRIKE KOCH
Mrs. Koch was last seen in the company of a neighbour on Wednesday, 30 November 2022.
A case of kidnapping was opened at the Akasia SAPS station.
AKASIA CAS-number: 199/12/2022.
DAVID WATERBOER
Young Mr. David Waterboer was last seen on 7 February 2025, leaving his home in Nababeep,
Northern Cape, to attend a sports event in Concordia.
He has not been seen since, and despite ongoing efforts by authorities and his family, his whereabouts remain unknown.
ELIZABETH MAARMAN
(Unfortunately, no photos are available of Me. Elizabeth Maarman.)
Me. Maarman was last seen on 22 January 2024, when she left her sister's home in Eersterus, Pretoria.
BERT SCHEEPERS
Mr. Egbertus Johannes Scheepers was last seen at Thesen Island, Knysna, on 9 May 2019.
AMAHLE THABETHE
Amahhle Thabethe disappeared from 36784 Extension 16, Tsakane, Ekurhuleni on 6 April 2019.
MATTHEW OHLSSEN
Young Matthew Ohlsson went missing on 24 March 1997, at the age of 9 years old.
