FOR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION!
Specialised Security Services is currently investigating the fraudulent investment scheme operating under the names
"RSS Dairy Farm" and "RSS Holdings Limited."
Our Head of the Johannesburg Cybercrime Division, Mr. J.D. Pienaar, has identified this operation
as a classic Ponzi scheme designed to defraud investors.
Our investigation, based on promotional materials and victim reports, reveals that the scheme lures individuals
with promises of unrealistically high monthly returns—from 60% to 80%—for a 12-month period, purportedly
from dairy farming operations in Upington. Evidence includes promotional flyers, fake "prize winner" cheques,
and a sophisticated-looking online dashboard to simulate legitimacy.
KEY INCONSISTENCIES & RED FLAGS:
The promised guaranteed monthly returns of 60-80% are financially impossible for a legitimate agricultural business.
Despite claiming UK regulation (FCA), the investment is targeted at South Africans with no verifiable, local financial services authority licensing.
Materials show conflicting dates and timelines, suggesting a fabricated operational history.
The scheme heavily promotes a referral system, a hallmark of Ponzi schemes that require a constant influx of new investors to pay earlier participants.
The operation uses professional-looking but generic imagery of farms and equipment to create a false sense of a tangible enterprise.
FIVE WAYS TO SPOT A PONZI OR BAD INVESTMENT PROMISE:
GUARANTEED HIGH RETURNS WITH LOW RISK:
Legitimate investments carry risk.
Promises of consistently high, guaranteed returns are a major warning sign.
UNREGISTERED OR UNLICENSED SELLERS:
Always verify the company's registration with the South African Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) or relevant local authority.
OVERLY CONSISTENT RETURNS:
Markets fluctuate.
Investments that yield positive returns regardless of market conditions are highly suspect.
SECRETIVE OR COMPLEX STRATEGIES:
Avoid opportunities where the underlying strategy cannot be clearly understood or is described as "too complex" to explain.
PRESSURE TO RECRUIT:
If earning more is dependent on recruiting new investors rather than the success of the underlying business, it is likely a pyramid or Ponzi scheme.
ACTION REQUIRED:
Victims of the"RSS Dairy Farm" or "RSS Holdings" scam, or anyone with information pertaining to its operators, are urged to make direct contact with our investigative team.
