PROJECT: WAREHOUSE ROBBERY - 30,000 BOTTLES OF PERFUME AND LOTION STOLEN

Specialised Security Services (SSS) was mandated to investigate a large-scale robbery at the warehouse of EP Eden Perfumes, located in Meadowdale, Johannesburg. The incident occurred on the late evening of 6 August 2026

and continued into the early morning of 7 August 2026.


A total of 30,000 bottles of perfume and lotion, along with 8 company laptops and a company vehicle,

were stolen during the heist. The company vehicle was later recovered in Soweto, Johannesburg,

during the morning hours of 7 August 2026.

 

At approximately 21h00 on 6 August 2026, at least 10 suspects breached the premises

by climbing over the main perimeter wall.

Entry was gained by removing the burglar bars from a bathroom window.

The lock on the main gate was forced open, and the security system was disabled.


Approximately five vehicles then entered the premises.

the stolen merchandise was loaded into these vehicles,

and the suspects fled the scene at approximately 02h15 on 7 August 2026.

The approximate retail value of the stolen stock is estimated to be R3 Million.

A criminal case was registered with the SAPS in Bedfordview under case number CAS 54/8/2026.

    • The following 8 laptops were stolen from the premises.

    • Please note the specific serial numbers for identification purposes.


  • Perfume and Lotion Stock (30,000 Bottles):

    • Members of the public are urged to be vigilant and report any sightings of these specific products being offered for sale under suspicious circumstances.
