DEEL ASB. HIERDIE OPENBARE DOKUMENT

Op 19 Julie 2025 het ons (alle Valskermsoldate betrokke) tesame met Naledi,

die Valskermbataljon Verhale boek vrygestel

by die Vrystaat Kunstefees en dit was ’n reuse sukses gewees.

Die verkope van die eerste boek het alle verwagtinge oortref en by elke geleentheid

of fees waar daar boekgesprekke gehou is, het al die boeke uitverkoop.

Die boek was ook teen Oktober 2025 vierde op die Netwerk24 se Nie-Fiksie lys gewees.

VOLUME 2

Ons het reeds met die bekendstelling van die eerste boek genoem dat daar ’n Volume 2 gaan wees.

Ons is reeds in die beplanningstadium van die tweede boek, maar ons kort nog heelwat stories vir die tweede boek.

Ons nooi elke oud Valskermsoldaat uit om sy storie van sy ervaring of gebeurtenis vir ons deur te stuur.

HIERMEE DIE RIGLYNE VIR DIE STORIES:

ONS MIKPUNT IS WEER VIR +- 80 KORTVERHALE.
Ons nooi die eggenote, vriendinne en Staande Mag-vrouesoldate hartelik uit om julle stories ook te skryf.
- Stuur alle stories in Word-formaat.
- Die woordtelling moet nie meer as 2500 woorde per storie wees nie.
- Elke skrywer moet die volgende inligting saam met sy/haar storie instuur:
  - Naam en Van.
  - Jaartal en Kompanie.
  - Dui die jaar van jou storie/voorval aan.
  - Waar het jou storie gebeur.
  - Selfoonnommer.
  - Eposadres.
- Stuur fotos in aparte gidse (folders), met die nodige verduidelikings en byskrifte of betrokke name.
Alle stories word aan die Uitgewer voorgelê vir 'n moontlike opname.
Ons beklemtoon dat daar bestaan nie n verwagting dat elke storie opgeneem sal word nie.

Ons beplanning is om die Valskermbataljon Verhale Boek Volume 2 weer by die

Vrystaat Kunstefees, wat op 7-11 Julie 2026 plaasvind, vry te stel.

Meer besonderhede sal deurgegee word nader aan die tyd.

Ons is verheug om bekend te maak dat ons ook by die jaar se KKNK-fees te Oudtshoorn ’n boekbespreking gaan hou.

U word hartlik uitgenooi om saam met ons die geleentheid by te woon.

Die boekbespreking vind plaas op 2 April 2026 om 12:00.

Ons wil ons dank en waardering uitspreek teenoor elke persoon wat ons tot dusver ondersteun het met die vrystelling

en verkope van die eerste boek en gehelp het om dit ’n reuse sukses te maak.
