CASE 1:
Our client, Mr. Andrè Venter, contacted Mr. Christo Bierman of BUTTS 4 AFRICA in Potchefstroom.
Mr. Andrè Venter ordered BUTTS.
(In archery, a butt, also called a boss, is a large backing block, pad, or earth mound placed behind a target face to catch and stop arrows safely.)
Mr. Venter paid for the order and was promised delivery.
After not receiving what he had ordered, Mr. Venter contacted Mr. Bierman, who again promised delivery.
After several months had passed, Mr. Venter contacted Specialised Security Services to assist with the matter.
Mr. Venter informed SSS Specialist Investigator, Mr. Vos, that he was not the only client of Mr. Bierman who had allegedly not received what they had ordered.
INVESTIGATION OF CASE 1:
SSS Specialist Investigator, Mr. Morney Vos, contacted Mr. Bierman.
Mr. Bierman confirmed that he had received the order and payment.
Mr. Bierman informed Mr. Vos that he would make delivery as soon as possible.
Later, Mr. Bierman informed Mr. Vos that, due to Mr. Venter's actions, he had not yet decided whether he would deliver the items to Mr. Venter or return the money already paid.
He requested that Mr. Vos give him one week to make a decision.
When Mr. Vos contacted Mr. Bierman on Friday, Mr. Bierman did not answer his calls or respond to his WhatsApp messages.
Mr. Venter has, to date, not received either the items he ordered or a refund of the money paid.
CASE 2:
Mrs. Tammy Lee Knoetze contacted Specialised Security Services regarding a vehicle she sold to Mr. Christo Bierman.
Both parties signed an agreement in terms of which Mr. Bierman would make monthly payments for the vehicle until the vehicle was settled with the bank.
Mr. Bierman stopped making payments for the yellow Chevrolet pick-up, registration number KRY 608 NW, in March 2026.
Mrs. Knoetze contacted Mr. Bierman regarding the outstanding payments, but he did not answer her calls or respond to her WhatsApp messages.
Mrs. Knoetze attempted to recover the vehicle, but all attempts were unsuccessful.
INVESTIGATION OF CASE 2:
Specialised Security Services Specialist Investigator, Mr. Ray Koch, visited the premises of BUTTS 4 AFRICA in Potchefstroom.
Mr. Bierman was not at the premises at the time.
Mr. Koch attempted to contact Mr. Bierman without success.
Mr. Bierman has reportedly been seen driving the vehicle in and around the Potchefstroom area.
Specialised Security Services (SSS) exposes suspected criminal conduct where available evidence indicates
that members of the public may have been deliberately deceived, financially prejudiced or unlawfully deprived of property.
The two matters involving Mr. Christo Bierman of BUTTS 4 AFRICA in Potchefstroom,
demonstrate why complaints of this nature require proper investigation rather than being dismissed as ordinary private disputes.
SSS urges members of the public to exercise caution when entering financial or commercial transactions.
Obtain written agreements, verify the identity and business credentials of the person or company involved,
retain proof of payment and preserve all communications.
