In recent months, Specialised Security Services (SSS) has again received numerous serious complaints involving
Ms. Maria Elizabeth Commons. It has become evident that Ms. Commons has engaged in repeated and
deliberate acts of fraud, malicious defamation, harassment, and emotional manipulation,
posing a growing risk to individuals and businesses across South Africa.
Ms Commons’s actions are characterised by intentional deceit and a disturbing pattern of paranoid behaviour.
Her conduct has been widely condemned, and SSS is committed to exposing the extent of her misconduct
and protecting the public from further harm.
FALSE IDENTITY CLAIMS AND RESTAURANT SCAMS:
One of the most alarming aspects of Ms. Commons’s modus operandi is her unauthorised use of Mr Mike Bolhuis’s name and reputation.
Posing as someone associated with Mr. Bolhuis, a respected figure in the security sector, Ms. Commons enters restaurants under the pretence of awaiting a meeting with him.
After ordering food and beverages, she leaves without paying, effectively defrauding the establishments.
This behaviour has been observed repeatedly, and it reflects a calculated attempt to exploit the trust that the name of Mr. Bolhuis carries.
ABUSE OF GUESTHOUSES AND NON-PAYMENT FOR ACCOMMODATION:
Another concerning trend involves her treatment of guesthouse owners.
Ms. Commons reportedly moves from one guesthouse to another, claiming to be in the midst of a divorce to gain sympathy and avoid upfront payment.
She has allegedly left at least two different guesthouses with unpaid bills, one amounting to R11,388.00 and another to R50,000.00.
This practice, known as bilking (intentionally evading payment), is considered a form of fraud and is a criminal offence under South African law.
MALICIOUS DEFAMATION AND HARASSMENT:
Equally troubling is Ms. Commons’s relentless campaign of harassment and defamation against innocent individuals.
She has sent numerous emails to Mr. Bolhuis via internet services at PostNet branches. These emails are filled with baseless accusations, paranoid threats, and outrageous lies, clearly indicating a loss of contact with reality.
In addition, she has made repeated threatening phone calls from various numbers, further escalating her harassment campaign.
These communications are not only factually void but also deeply damaging, as they seek to tarnish the reputations of respected individuals who have no association with Ms. Commons.
It is important to note that Mr. Mike Bolhuis has no relationship whatsoever with Ms. Commons, other than his professional duty to expose her fraudulent actions.
MANIPULATIVE BEHAVIOUR AND FALSE LEGAL CLAIMS:
Ms. Commons’s behaviour extends beyond deception for financial gain.
She has been accused of emotional manipulation, using sympathy ploys to control or intimidate individuals into doing her bidding.
Reports suggest she has even resorted to opening false criminal cases at police stations, abusing legal mechanisms to cause further distress to those she targets.
Moreover, she has made false reports to banks, SARS, and SAPS, alleging various fabricated threats and incidents.
This behaviour demonstrates a pattern of delusion and paranoia, with the potential to cause significant administrative, reputational and emotional harm to her victims.
Based on the overwhelming evidence gathered by SSS and other concerned parties,
it is clear that Ms. Maria Commons poses a serious threat to public trust and safety. S
he has displayed a consistent pattern of dishonesty, harassment, and manipulation.
Her actions are morally reprehensible and legally actionable.
SSS has issued a public warning urging individuals and businesses not to entertain or assist Ms. Commons in any way.
Her repeated fraudulent conduct, defamatory lies, and erratic behaviour make her a confidence trickster and a compulsive liar, with no regard for the consequences of her actions.
In light of the facts, SSS emphatically states that Ms. Maria Commons must be held accountable for her actions.
The organisation remains committed to supporting victims, exposing fraudulent behaviour,
and ensuring that the public is made aware of the dangers posed by individuals like Ms. Commons.
Her ongoing pattern of manipulation, defamation, and deception is unacceptable. Those affected by her actions are encouraged to report incidents to the relevant authorities and seek legal recourse where appropriate.
