The self-proclaimed and thoroughly disputed owners of the well-known Tammy Taylor Nails trademark have been ordered by the Pretoria High Court to stop selling Tammy Taylor franchises immediately.
It has also been reported that shortly before the court order was granted, the couple allegedly attempted to sell a Tammy Taylor franchise to a non-suspecting member of the public, but the sale was cancelled after it was discovered later that the couple did not own the franchise, and thus, they were not legally permitted to make the sale.
Specialised Security Services have been inundated with complaints about the alleged fraudulent activities committed by
Mr. Peet Viljoen and Mrs. Mel Viljoen.
From the many complaints received, the following alleged criminal activities are being investigated:
Fraud.
Theft.
Intimidation.
Extortion.
Harassment.
Contravention of the Cybercrimes Act.
Criminal cases have been registered against Mr. Peet and Mrs. Mel Viljoen.
The cases are being investigated by Specialised Security Services and the South African Police Service.
One such case involves the alleged theft of a large amount of stock valued at cost price +/- R30 million (retail price R70 million) from one of the salons. This includes the obscuring of assets to obstruct previous liquidation, and sequestration attempts on the couple.
It has come to the attention of Specialised Security Services through a well-established informant structure
that Mr. Peet Viljoen and Mrs. Mel Viljoen may be planning to leave South Africa by the 24th of May 2025.
It is also claimed that several assets have already been sold by the couple to finance their attempt to leave South Africa.
This information is currently being investigated, and precautions are being put in place to prevent yet
another incident where persons of interest leave South Africa to obstruct justice and prevent prosecution.
SSS Specialist Investigators are in possession of a sworn statement stating that Mr. Peet Viljoen and Mrs. Mel Viljoen used bank accounts owned by a third party into which they received funds after their own bank account was frozen. The statement also mentions the transfer of furniture ownership to third parties to avoid repossession. It is also stated that public service officials had been paid large amounts of money by Mr. Peet Viljoen.
Herewith the latest media publications:
Take note of the following:
Specialised Security Services is a duly, fully qualified professional safety and security organisation that has a responsibility towards the public and the authorities, to inform and warn of all crimes being committed, and that could be committed.
This project and all our other projects are an exposé of crime, and an explanation and identification of crime, with the purpose of informing the public.
This is our responsibility and must be done.
Many previous cases against Mr. and Mrs. Viljoen were not registered owing to a variety of reasons.
The lack of registration does not mean that the crime did not occur.
We have investigated and have records of all complaints that we have received.
Not all complainants opened cases because many were intimidated, and many fear that the cases would be unsuccessful.
This fear is reasonable, as several previous cases against the subjects were unsuccessful.
The fact that they were unsuccessful was often a result of corruption.
This left victims feeling despondent, traumatised and vulnerable.
It must also be noted that one of the traits of a narcissist is choosing vulnerable targets who would be most likely to submit to their will and are the least likely to retaliate against them.
They use their charm and media presence to draw in and intimidate victims.
Denial and the formulation of blatant lies are also typical of this personality type.
As seen in previous media publications, Mr. Viljoen uses any measure, including sexual advances, to convince female prospects to do business with him.
Mrs. Viljoen demonstrated previously that she would not hesitate to cover up a situation to protect their reputation as a couple.
It must also be noted that Mr. Viljoen has previously used extreme measures to intimidate those who expose his wrongdoing.
These measures were used against the media, authorities and the public.
Mr. Viljoen has also used violence and the threat of physical violence to intimidate and move subjects to perform according to his will.
Several of these instances have been reported to us, which is why we feel that it is our responsibility to warn the public.
We encourage members of the public who have information to contact Mr. Mike Bolhuis
or the SSS Specialist Investigator Task Team.
Do not be intimidated or persuaded into silence.
