THE CASE:
The company specialises in the manufacturing and installation of various aluminium products, including windows, doors, folding doors, and more.
SS Aluminium has received numerous positive reviews on Google.
However, one case involved a client who hired SS Aluminium to install garage doors at a construction site in Hermanus.
The client personally met with Mr. Ismail Patel on-site to discuss the project.
After returning to Gauteng, the client paid a deposit of R107,464.00 via EFT.
Once the payment was made, Mr. Patel disappeared, and the installation, scheduled for August, never took place.
No refund was issued, leading the client to file a fraud case at Garsfontein SAPS (CAS 200/9/2024).
