INVESTIGATION INTO REPORTED FRAUD AND THEFT:
Specialised Security Services (SSS) is investigating a matter involving reported fraud and theft connected
to transactions involving precious metal and collectable coins.
The investigation includes several individuals and entities referred to by the complainant.
The matter has also been reported to the South African Police Service (SAPS).
MAIN PERSON OF INTEREST:
The principal person of interest in the investigation is Mr. Brenton Peter Khoury, born 20 January 1986.
SSS is seeking information that may assist in establishing the circumstances surrounding the transactions under investigation and the involvement, if any, of the persons referred to in the complaint.
REPORTED TRANSACTIONS:
According to information provided to SSS, a complainant who was a member of the “Heads Or Tail” coin trading group, administered by Mr. Louis Pretorius, purchased Krugerrands from Mr. Anthony Khoury, operating as Nomisma Vault, on or about 16 March 2026.
The complainant reports that they were subsequently encouraged to purchase Big Five silver coins valued at approximately R45,245.00, despite these products not forming part of the original request.
After the complainant raised concerns regarding the transaction, they were reportedly directed to deal with Brenton Khoury, who was described as a dealer.
Contact was reportedly made from cell phone number +27 79 749 3098.
The investigation is examining the circumstances surrounding these transactions, including payments made, communications between the parties, the products ordered, and whether the goods were supplied.
UNDELIVERED COIN PACKS:
The complainant further reports purchasing two Big Five blister packs from Andre Thirion for approximately R3,360, with payment made on or about 23 March 2026.
According to the complainant, the products were not delivered.
SSS was informed that Mr. Anthony Khoury subsequently attributed the matter to a misunderstanding and indicated that he would cover the loss.
The circumstances surrounding this payment and the subsequent communication remain part of the investigation.
CONTACT WITH BRENTON KHOURY:
SSS contacted Mr. Brenton Khoury regarding the complaint.
During communication with SSS, Mr. Khoury acknowledged having had contact with the complainant and provided explanations regarding the circumstances surrounding the outstanding matter.
SSS initially afforded Mr. Khoury one week to resolve the matter, failing which SSS would assist the complainant in opening a criminal case.
Mr. Khoury subsequently requested additional time, referring to a period of a few weeks.
More than a month passed without the matter being resolved.
SSS reports that subsequent attempts to contact Mr. Khoury have not been successful.
The reasons provided by the parties, the movement of funds, and the status of the products concerned remain subject to investigation.
SAPS CASE REGISTERED:
A criminal case has been registered with the South African Police Service (SAPS).

The SAPS investigation and any subsequent legal proceedings will determine the evidential position and whether criminal charges should be pursued against any individual.

SSS is appealing to members of the public who may have had similar experiences involving Brenton Peter Khoury, Anthony Khoury, Enzo del Bianco, Jonathan, or transactions associated with Nomisma Vault, to come forward with relevant information.
Investigators are particularly interested in receiving:
Proof of payments;
Invoices and quotations;
Bank statements reflecting relevant transactions;
WhatsApp, SMS, email or other communications;
Advertisements or social-media communications;
Details of products ordered and received or not received;
Information concerning other affected clients; and
Any other documentation that may assist investigators in establishing the sequence of events.
Members of the public should not confront any person involved or attempt to conduct their own investigation.
Relevant information should be provided directly to investigators or SAPS.
PUBLIC SAFETY ADVISORY:
Members of the public are urged to exercise caution when entering into transactions involving precious metals, collectable coins or investment-related products, particularly where payment is requested before delivery.
Before transferring funds, consumers should independently verify:
The identity of the seller;
The existence and ownership of the business;
The banking details being used;
The specific products being purchased;
The terms of delivery and refund;
The seller's physical and digital contact details; and
Whether the transaction can be independently verified through reliable documentation.
A professional-looking social-media profile, trading group or online presence should not, by itself, be regarded as proof that a seller or transaction is legitimate.
