This is an urgent warning to the public, businesses, private security providers, and law enforcement entities regarding individuals and entities suspected of operating a fraudulent construction scheme.

Linked to cellphone number 084 510 1631, which is identified as belonging to Lucas Moferefere Letsoara.

Date of Birth: 02/10/1972.
Age: 52.
Gender: Male.
Country of Birth: South Africa.
Deceased Status: Alive.
ID Card Issued: Yes, on 02/07/2021.
Known by the nickname "Shoes" and has multiple Facebook pages.
Possible relative: Mamosebetsi Agnes Letsoara (Marriage).
ASSOCIATE/SUPERVISOR ("PRINCE LOGHOUSE"):
Linked to cellphone number + 27 60 666 0578.
He initially introduced himself as a supervisor from W J Construction, from "boss Nigel".

This company is deregistered, and its registered address is invalid (40 Bosman Street, Pretoria CBD).
The Facebook page for WJ Construction House mentions "Nigel" as the owner.

LIKELY ACCOMPLICE:
Ashwin Brain (ashwinbrain.5@gmail.com) is connected to multiple scam-linked Facebook pages (Nigel Wendy, Bhudzawendys) and the primary cell number: + 27 84 510 1631.
Cell phone number +27 84 510 1631 is the cell phone number of Lucas Moferefere Letsoara.
Mr. Letsoara is also known by his nickname "Shoes" and has multiple Facebook pages.
If you search for Niggelwendy45 you only get this Facebook page called Nigel Wendy, with address 147 Ecstein Street, Observatory, Johannesburg, South Africa and contact number + 27 68 277 6996 and an email address: ashwinbrain.5@gmail.com .
On this Nigel Wendy Facebook page, there is well mention of WJ Construction House,
meaning they know the company or it it is the same person.
The WJ Construction House Facebook page has the name Nigel right on top of all the info.
If you want more info and tap on WhatsApp, you get Niggelwendy45.
MODUS OPERANDI (How the Victim Found the Suspect and the Fraud Unfolded):
Our client found the suspects through Facebook advertisements after selling a property in Heidelberg and acquiring land in Albertinia to build a log cabin.
INITIAL CONTACT & VETTING:
The victim sent fictional building plans to multiple advertisers to assess their professionalism.
He then identified six suitable individuals and sent them the full, approved building plans.
The suspect (Nigel) was chosen because he was the only one who provided references.
REFERENCE CHECKS:
The victim contacted two of the provided references.
One woman in Bronkhorstspruit gave a very positive review, while a man expressed dissatisfaction with the plumbing and built-in cupboards.
Despite the mixed reviews, and after the suspect sent photos, the client proceeded with the suspect.
UNQUOTED TRANSPORT DEMANDS & INITIAL PAYMENTS:
Early in the engagement, before plans were fully approved by the municipality, the suspect requested R2,000 for transport of materials, claiming the truck was loaded and en route.
This amount was not included in the original quote of R353,000.00.
The client paid a total of R25,000.00 for transport on 29 January 2025, R21,000.00 on 8 March 2025, and R11,000.00 on 17 March 2025, but no materials arrived in connection with these payments.
CONTINUOUS EXCUSES & FURTHER DEMANDS:
The suspects provided various excuses for delays, including the truck breaking down, being stuck 200km from Colesberg, being in Botswana or Limpopo, and even a plumber's funeral.
They consistently demanded additional payments for transport and materials, ranging from R2,500.00 for food to R16,000.00, R11,700.00, and even R100,000.00.
Materials were promised from Bloemfontein, George, or Mossel Bay, but remained unverifiable.
FAILURE TO DELIVER & LACK OF TRANSPARENCY:
The client paid R468,000.00 for a log house that was quoted at R353,000.00, but received minimal materials, only enough for the floor and sides.
Materials delivered were sometimes incorrect or swapped (e.g., wrong shower doors, thin logs instead of thicker ones).
The suspects frequently evaded providing full invoices for materials, despite repeated requests.
The suspect "Nigel" left part of the building plan and keys, with R41,000.00 unaccounted for, leading the client to suspect he had no intention of returning.
The suspect provided a passport image that investigators believe is likely stolen.
REASONS FOR WARNING:
OPERATING A DEREGISTERED COMPANY IS A CRIMINAL OFFENCE:
Niggelwendys45 is an unregistered entity, and WJ Construction House is deregistered.
Operating a construction business or any private security/investigative service without proper registration is illegal in South Africa and poses significant risks to the public.
CONFIRMED FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY:
The investigation strongly indicates a scam, with key findings confirming that the client paid significantly more than quoted for minimal material delivery and no significant progress, coupled with continuous excuses and demands for more money.
The suspects' actions align with fraud.
CLIENTS ARE MISLED AND LEGALLY UNPROTECTED:
By presenting themselves as legitimate contractors, these individuals mislead clients.
Any contracts or services provided by unregistered or deregistered entities lack proper legal standing, leaving clients with no recourse if issues, malpractice, or harm arise.
LACK OF TRANSPARENCY AND DECEPTION:
The suspects consistently failed to provide proper invoices for materials they claimed to purchase and for which the client paid.
This deception is a hallmark of fraudulent operations.
FINANCIAL RISK AND LOSS:
The client paid R468,000.00 for a R353,000.00 quote with little to no progress or material delivery, demonstrating a significant financial loss due to this scheme.

CURRENT INVESTIGATION STATUS:
A fraud case (CAS 82/04/2025) was officially opened with Albertinia SAPS on 14 April 2025, and assigned to Serg. FJ Fielies.
Investigations are ongoing to confirm Ashwin Brain's role and Lucas Letsoara's involvement, and to locate the materials the client paid for.
WE STRONGLY ADVISE THE PUBLIC TO:
Avoid all dealings with individuals operating as "Nigel" or "Prince Loghouse," and their associated entities such as "Niggelwendys45" and "WJ Construction House," as these are linked to a confirmed fraud scheme.
Verify the registration of any construction company or service provider before engaging their services, using official registries like CIPC.
Insist on transparent invoicing and track all material deliveries meticulously against payments made.
Report suspicious activity immediately to the SAPS or Specialised Security Services (SSS).
If you have been approached by or have worked with these individuals or companies, please report it immediately.
