SSS ONGOING INVESTIGATION
In our last project sent out regarding Mr. Emile De Witt, we referred to a case regarding fraud whereby Mr. Emile De Witt and Mr. Leon Reece were involved in Brackendowns SAPS case number CAS 144/01/2024.
Mr. Emile De Witt was arrested in the above case and was again released on bail.
The State Prosecutor was informed at Palm Ridge Court, Vosloorus, that Mr. Emile De Witt was out on bail on other charges of Schedule 6 crimes, but bail was still granted.
Our client wished to be identified, as new information has come to light whereby Mr. Emile De Witt and Mr. Leon Reece allegedly used a copy of his ID to commit fraud.
Our client, Mr. Jaques Van Staden from Alberton, was notified by the SAPS Sasolburg Detective Branch that there are currently 3 cases registered at Sasolburg, whereby the duplicate copy of his ID was used as in the case at Brackendowns, selling houses belonging to Eskom.
An Eskom investigator confirmed this information.
In all these cases, there is a legal letter from "Reece and Kruger Attorneys" that was used.
Checking with the LPC (Legal Practitioners Council), there is no such attorney's firm registered with them at the address given in the letter.
The following cases were registered at Sasolburg:
Sasolburg CAS 286/5/2024 – investigated by Sgt van der Linde (no. 9 Doringberg Street, Vaalpark, Sasolburg),
Sasolburg CAS 232/06/2024 – investigated by Sgt van der Linde (no. 10 Doringberg Street, Vaalpark, Sasolburg) and,
Sasolburg CAS 112/09/2024 – investigated by Sgt Ndaba (no. 11 Doringberg Street, Vaalpark, Sasolburg).
THE ALBERTON CASE OF MR. JAQUES VAN STADEN:
On the 1st of March 2024, SSS Investigations sent out a project regarding the arrest of Mr. Emile De Witt on a fraud case in Brackendowns, Alberton.
He was released on R1,500.00 bail at the Palm Ridge court.
In the above matter, it was alleged that Mr. Emile De Witt and Mr. Leon Reece unlawfully changed the ownership of numerous companies belonging to our client in Alberton at the CIPC.
Our client had the ownership of the companies returned to his name with the CIPC on the 7th of March 2024.
Both Mr. Emile De Witt and Mr. Leon Reece then approached the banks in Vanderbijlpark, requesting the bank accounts of our client trust accounts be changed to their names.
They were unaware that the company’s ownership had been reverted to our client.
On the 27th of July 2024, our client received a letter from an attorney in Vanderbijlpark, Henk Scheepers Attorneys, informing our client that they were holding a Section 65 inquiry into Mr. Emile De Witt.
SSS received a copy of the letter.
The attorney informed our client that Mr. Emile De Witt and Mr. Leon Reece visited their office in Vanderbijlpark and offered the properties belonging to our client to be transferred to satisfy the judgement debt of the Section 65 to his client.
Mr. Emile De Witt testified in a court of law that these properties belonged to him.
Due to Mr. Scheeper's attention to detail, this was prevented, and Mr. Emile de Witt will now also have to explain to the court why he was willing to hand over properties that he lied about belonging to him.
The matter was reported to the investigation officer in Brackendowns, Alberton, but no action was taken by the investigation officer against the suspect, nor did the investigation officer make any attempt to arrest Mr. Leon Reece since Mr. Emile De Witt’s arrest.
Currently, there are 26 cases of SAPS Barrage and SAPS Vereeniging with the NPA in Pretoria.
Cases from Vanderbijlpark and other police stations were never sent to the NPA.
Some of the cases against Mr. Emile De Witt have been ongoing since 2019.
The complainants are still awaiting feedback from the SAPS as to why he has still not been arrested.
As per previous projects dated 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, Mr. Emile De Witt never stopped his activities.
Due to the SSS projects, Mr. Emile De Witt applied for a harassment order against Mr. Mike Bolhuis and SSS.
After numerous requests for postponement from Mr. Emile De Witt to the court, the case was finally put on the roll in Vanderbijlpark court in October 2024.
Mr. Emile De Witt then withdrew the matter with cost against him on the day of the hearing.
This was another attempt by Mr. Emile De Witt to prevent an SSS from warning the public against him and his criminal activities.
Due to the harassment order, SSS could not send out any project to warn the public against Mr. De Witt and his partners until the date that the case was withdrawn by Mr. Emile De Witt.
The only reason for the protection order was to stop the
SSS investigation and to stop SSS from warning the public against Mr. Emile De Witt and his criminal ways.
