PROJECT: REBUILDING PUBLIC TRUST IN THE AUTHORITIES

THE GOVERNMENT, THE AUTHORITIES AND THE PUBLIC MUST WORK TOGETHER

IN ORDER TO SAVE SOUTH AFRICA

The Government, the Authorities and the Public must give each other a final chance in order to save South Africa.

Specialised Security Services and Mr Bolhuis personally, in all of his radio- and television interviews,

regularly highlight the most significant crimes committed in South Africa:

SSS is seen as the end-of-the-line option for many victims of crime.

The primary issue revolves around the public's distrust of our police services.

Months before and after the election, Mr Mike Bolhuis has been requesting that the public should rebuild trust in the SAPS.

THE PROBLEM:

Due to a lack of trust, there are:

  • a significant drop in the public's identification of crime,

  • crime reporting,

  • the opening of cases,

  • the reluctance of whistleblowers to report crimes,

  • the reluctance of witnesses to come forward with information to help the SAPS,

  • and no information and informants coming forward to help prevent crime from happening.

Unless the public gives the South African government and authorities a final chance by working with them, unless the public comes forward with the maximum information available about crime and unless an information- and informant infrastructure is in place, there will be no crime prevention. Unless these factors are not firmly established, there will always be investigations after the crimes have occurred. Crimes will continue to be committed, and investigations will try to solve the crimes.

Serious violent, economic and cybercrimes are being committed daily, and it is escalating because we do not receive information before the crime is committed. It is clear that there is no crime prevention in place.

THE SOLUTION:

All South Africans must see crime as the common enemy:

Crime affects everyone, regardless of political affiliations, beliefs, personal preferences, financial status, religion, colour, or ethnicity. These differences should be topics for discussion and not division.

As South Africans, we cannot afford to be divided on the issue of crime. We must unite in our fight against crime.

A crime-free South Africa would be a nation of peace, unity, and stability, with a thriving economy and secure infrastructure.

It would be a place where prosperity, safety, and security are realities for all its citizens.

Imagining a South Africa without crime feels almost impossible. Crime profoundly affects our daily lives, leaving us constantly uncertain, stressed, and worried about our finances, governance, infrastructure, and the effectiveness of authorities and municipalities, among other issues. We live in a state of heightened paranoia and vigilance, which profoundly impacts our experiences, psyche, and physical and emotional well-being. Crime’s ripple effect touches every aspect of our lives,

making it the most urgent challenge we face as a nation.

When criminals see that crime pays, they perpetuate a cycle where crime begets more crime. To combat this effectively, we must restore our trust in the government, authorities, and the South African Police Service (SAPS) while becoming actively involved in crime prevention efforts. Mr Bolhuis and Specialised Security Services urge every citizen to take personal responsibility for their safety and security and to play an active role in preventing crime.

Only through collective action and a united front can South Africa turn the tide against crime.

SSS works closely with the SAPS and other authorities to address public concerns.

Many of our specialist investigators were high-ranking police officers, and they do not hesitate to take control of an investigation, confront inefficiencies in the SAPS and mediate a successful outcome for victims.

The Specialist Investigators from Special Security Services (SSS) are dedicated to fostering and strengthening their relationships with the South African Police Service (SAPS). This collaboration is crucial, as effective cooperation between these entities ensures public safety and security. By working closely together, SSS and SAPS can leverage each other's expertise, resources, and knowledge to address and solve criminal activities more efficiently.

The shared objective of this partnership is to prevent crime proactively before it occurs.

SSS and the SAPS are committed to identifying and addressing potential threats and criminal activities at their earliest stages. This concerted effort involves sharing information and intelligence and coordinating strategies and operations.

The public's commitment to crime prevention is vital in this collaborative effort.

Community engagement and vigilance play a key role in

supporting the initiatives of SSS and SAPS.

When citizens actively report suspicious activities, share information, and support local crime prevention programs,

they contribute significantly to creating a safer environment. Public awareness and involvement enhance the effectiveness

of law enforcement agencies by providing crucial information that may not be accessible otherwise.

Crime prevention is visible policing, information-informant infrastructures, whistleblowers, national police intelligence, national military intelligence, and information infrastructures in place. If that is not firmly established, we cannot give the authorities this final chance to prevent crime. A decrease in crime will only happen when we establish the above. The information will be received before the crimes are committed and dealt with proactively to stop the crimes from happening.

This is the crux of the matter - preventing crime.

The ultimate aim is to create a safe environment for South Africans by

improving overall safety and security, stability and eradicating crime.
