SUCCESS PROJECT: WANTED PERSON NZAMELA ALFRED NCOYINI, HANDS HIMSELF OVER TO SAPS

This SSS Success Project is a follow-up to the previous publication concerning a criminal matter involving
fraud and conspiracy to commit murder before the Randburg Regional Criminal Court.
The previous SSS project reported that Mr. Nzamela Alfred Ncoyini, the third accused in the matter,
was a wanted person with a valid warrant of arrest.
SSS can now confirm a significant development in the case.
THE WANTED ACCUSED SURRENDERS:
On Friday, 25 September 2026, Mr. Nzamela Alfred Ncoyini contacted SSS Specialist Investigator Mr. Victor Mabena, while he was in the Eastern Cape.
During the conversation, Mr. Ncoyini indicated that he intended to hand himself over to the South African Police Service.
He subsequently honoured that undertaking.
On the morning of 29 September 2026, Mr. Ncoyini handed himself over at Douglasdale SAPS, where he was detained in connection with the fraud and conspiracy to commit murder matter.
His detention is recorded under SAPS reference SAP14/242/09/2026.
The development means that the third accused, who was previously wanted with a valid warrant of arrest, is now in police custody and can be brought before the appropriate court as required by the criminal justice process.
A SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT IN THE CASE:
The previous SSS project identified the status of the three accused persons:
Andiswa Pearl Mvinjelwa, Accused 1, was arrested on 3 July 2026 and is out on bail.
Gidela Duchess Ndwandwa, Accused 2, was arrested on 14 July 2026 and is out on bail.
Nzamela Alfred Ncoyini, Accused 3, was wanted under a valid warrant of arrest.
The arrest and detention of Mr. Ncoyini represents an important development because all three accused persons are now within the criminal justice process.
The matter remains one involving fraud and conspiracy to commit murder, and the charges still have to be dealt with through the courts. Arrest or detention does not constitute a finding of guilt.
THE IMPORTANCE OF A LAWFUL SURRENDER:
From an investigative perspective, a wanted person surrendering to SAPS provides an opportunity for the criminal justice process to proceed without unnecessary confrontation or risk to members of the public, police officers or the person being sought.
The correct course when a person is subject to a warrant of arrest is to submit to lawful authority and allow the matter to be dealt with through the courts.
SSS does not advocate vigilantism, confrontation or private attempts to apprehend wanted persons.
Members of the public should provide information to law enforcement and allow SAPS and the courts to perform their respective functions.
THE NEXT STEP: COURT
The matter is scheduled for its next appearance on 30 September 2026 at the Randburg Regional Criminal Court, Court 1.
With Mr. Ncoyini now detained, the court will deal with his position in accordance with the applicable criminal procedure.
The focus must now remain on the evidence, the formal court process and the protection of the victim and relevant witnesses.
SSS: FROM INVESTIGATION TO OUTCOME
For SSS, this development demonstrates the importance of following a criminal matter beyond the initial investigation.
The previous project identified a wanted third accused and informed the public of his status.
The subsequent development is that the suspect made contact with SSS Specialist Investigator, Mr. Victor Mabena, indicated that he would surrender, and then handed himself over to Douglasdale SAPS.
This is a significant investigative development, but it is not the conclusion of the criminal case.
The responsibility now lies with the criminal justice system to ensure that the matter proceeds through the appropriate legal channels.
SSS will continue to follow the matter and report significant developments based on verified information
and the outcome of the lawful criminal process.
