Specialised Security Services was mandated by our clients to investigate a possible investment scam after our clients invested a significant amount of money with JAB SPECULATE through Mr. Hanres Beukes.
Mr. Beukes uses Mr. Frank Matthysen as a go-between for communications between investors and himself.
Initially, our clients received interest payments on schedule, but these payments were halted in mid-2024.
Since then, our clients have received no payments and no evidence that their capital is secure.
Our forensic investigation initially considered temporary financial strain.
It later became clear that there are reasons for much greater concern regarding the invested capital:
The excuses provided by Mr. Beukes were unreasonable and contained fabricated facts.
Neither Mr. Beukes nor Mr. Matthysen have provided a single document to prove their claim that the bank has frozen the funds.
Payments stopped around the same time that Mr. Beukes launched a new cryptocurrency investment company.
Mr. Beukes and Mr. Matthysen said funds were frozen owing to a client laying a criminal case.
This claim was never substantiated with evidence.
Specialised Security Services found negative public reviews, including a review from Carin Viljoen-Venter, who stated she could not get hold of Mr. Beukes and was waiting for dividends.
Our attempts to contact both Mr. Beukes and Mr. Matthysen for an amicable resolution were ignored.
Mr. Matthysen referenced Mr. Bolhuis in messages, indicating awareness of the investigation, but offered no cooperation.
A visit to the registered offices of JAB SPECULATE revealed empty premises with signage still on the door.
Neighbours confirmed that the offices had been closed for months.
Other addresses on record were visited, but neither individual could be located.

Since the initial publication, more alarming information has come to light:
Our investigation confirms that JAB Speculate has allegedly received over R100,000,000 (One Hundred Million Rand) from investors who are based both locally and abroad.
The most prominent complaints coming from investors in the USA, most of whom have not been paid their returns or original capital.
Former employees from JAB Speculate and from Mr. Beukes’ new business ventures have come forward reporting severe financial mismanagement within the company and that the employees had not been paid their salaries.
Investors are furnished with a rotating list of unsubstantiated excuses, including claims that funds have been frozen by SARS, banks, or other authorities.
No official paperwork has ever been provided to prove these incidents.
In a ploy to silence victims, Mr. Beukes blames "past complainants" for the frozen funds, creating a false narrative that everyone is being punished because some people spoke out. This is designed to discourage victims from approaching authorities.
Some investors have reported receiving veiled threats.
Multiple criminal cases were previously registered with the SAPS.
Owing to the escalated scale of the alleged fraud, the matter is now being consulted with the Commercial Crimes Unit of the Hawks.
The constant excuses, delays, promises, and threats lead us to believe that investor capital has been misappropriated, constituting fraud.
Our clients have provided ample time for Mr. Beukes and Mr. Matthysen to produce documentation and were warned that this project would be published.
No efforts were made to contact SSS or provide the necessary paperwork, which thus resulted in the publication of this project for the benefit of the public.

the market is filled with fraudsters who will take your money by any means and then use it for their own benefit.
