Corrupt individuals are found in all sectors of life.
Specialised Security Services has previously warned the public about the criminal activities of
confidence tricksters, fraudsters and thieves.
One such individual is Mr. George Schietekat from Bloemfontein,
of whom we have received several complaints.
Read our initial projects regarding Mr. Schietekat’s dishonest and fraudulent dealings:
In a surprising development, Mr. Schietekat is now actively cooperating with the SSS Specialist Investigators,
providing valuable information that could assist in unravelling the full scope of the case.
His collaboration marks a significant shift in the investigation,
potentially expediting justice and ensuring accountability for all those involved.
However, despite this progress, complications remain. The truck that Mr. Schietekat unlawfully sold to a third party,
Mr. Geoffrey Martin Osch, remains a central issue. Instead of cooperating with authorities and returning the vehicle to its rightful owner, Mr. Osch has not only refused to comply but has also escalated the situation by resorting to blackmail tactics. His obstructionist behaviour is delaying the resolution of the case and raising further legal concerns.
On 16 January 2024, our client agreed with Mr. George Schietekat regarding selling our client’s truck, a Toyota Dyna 4-ton, registration number HXX 951 FS.
After negotiations, Mr. Schietekat proposed visiting a police station to create an affidavit concerning the down payment for the truck.
The agreed total for the truck was R140,000.00, payable at R10,000.00 per month.
Mr. Schietekat committed to obtaining insurance and maintaining the truck and pledged to pay off the truck as quickly as possible.
As of 1 October 2024, payments received from Mr. Schietekat totalled R22,000.00, leaving an outstanding balance of R118,000.00.
On 17 July 2024, we sent a letter to Mr. Schietekat informing him that ownership rights to the truck would be reserved until full payment was made and that he was not permitted to use the truck in the meantime.
Mr. Schietekat did not respond to this letter.
Upon investigation, the truck was found in the possession of a third party, Mr. Geoffrey Martin Osch of the business Danten Glass & Fit, located in Bloemfontein, who, on hidden camera, admitted that Mr. Schietekat had sold the truck to him.
The truck remains registered in our client's name.
The investigator also obtained an affidavit from the driver who delivered the vehicle to Mr. Osch.
After SSS released PROJECT: MISREPRESENTATION/FRAUD AND THEFT – MR. GEORGE SCHIETEKAT (PART 2) started giving his cooperation with our SSS Specialist Investigator, Mr. Ben Almero.
Mr. Schietekat consulted with Mr. Osch to return the truck to its rightful owner.
He even went as far as to draft a contract outlining how he would compensate Mr. Osch, for the payment he received from selling the truck unlawfully to Mr. Osch.
Both parties signed the contract and Mr. Schietekat made two payments to the lawyer’s office as stipulated in the contract.
The SSS Specialist Investigator contacted Mr. Osch regarding the release of truck to the lawful owner.
Mr. Osch refused to talk to the Investigator, he communicated only via email.
In the email, he stated that he would release the truck on one condition: that the lawful owner would compensate him R120,000.00 from the income generated by the sale of the truck.
Mr. Osch stated that he knows Mr. Schietekat will not repay the money he paid for the truck.
Mr. Osch informed our client during a phone call that if he does not agree to these terms, he will not release the truck and will take the matter to court.
At this stage, the case has taken a drastic turn: our client is being blackmailed into paying Mr. Osch the money that Mr. Schietekat owes him.
Blackmail is a criminal offence.
Mr. Osch is in possession of a truck that is registered in our client’s name, making our client the lawful owner.
Following an agreement between Mr. Osch and Mr. Schietekat, which outlined how Mr. Schietekat would repay the money received for the truck, Mr. Schietekat made two down payments at the lawyer's office.
Mr. Osch removed the truck bed without permission from our client, the lawful owner.
Since Mr. Osch is in possession of our client’s truck, our client is experiencing a loss of income related to this matter.
Considering all these points, Mr. Osch still demands that our client pay him a lump sum of R120,000.00 before he will release the truck. We give Mr. Osch five working days from the date this document is issued to return the truck to our client in the working condition in which he received it. The truck bed must be reattached to the truck.
Mr. Osch must deliver the truck to our client as directed by the investigator, at his own expense.
No costs will be incurred by our client.
SSS WILL CONTINUE IN OUR ENDEAVOURS TO RESOLVE THIS CASE AND SEEK JUSTICE FOR OUR CLIENT.

AVOIDING ANY ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL LOSSES.
The investigation into Mr. Schietekat is ongoing.
Mr. Osch, as a third party, is also involved in this investigation.
