It is with profound sadness that Specialised Security Services (SSS) confirms that Mrs. Odette Fourie (57),
who was reported missing after she was last seen in Brakpan on Saturday, 27 June 2026, has sadly been found deceased.
On behalf of Mr. Mike Bolhuis, the Specialist Investigators, and the entire SSS family, we extend our deepest and sincere condolences to Mrs. Fourie's family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
Our thoughts remain with all those who knew and loved her as they face this heartbreaking loss.
SSS would like to express its sincere appreciation to every individual and organisation that assisted in the search
for Mrs. Fourie. We thank the members of the public who shared the missing person alert, submitted information,
remained vigilant, and offered support throughout the search.
Our gratitude is also extended to the members of the South African Police Service (SAPS), emergency and forensic personnel, community policing structures, neighbourhood watch organisations, private security companies, volunteers, and all other role players who dedicated their time and resources to locating Mrs. Fourie.
Although this search has come to a tragic conclusion, the collective response once again demonstrates the importance
of cooperation between law enforcement, the private security industry, local communities, and concerned citizens.
Every search effort, every shared post, and every piece of information contributed to ensuring
that answers could be found for the family.
As investigations into the circumstances surrounding Mrs. Fourie's death continue, SSS respectfully requests that the public refrain from speculation or the circulation of unverified information. Allowing investigators to conduct a thorough and professional investigation is essential to establishing the facts and, where applicable, ensuring that justice is served.
