SUCCESS PROJECT: MR. IZAAK POSTMA - COOPERATION AND NO SUBSEQUENT COMPLAINTS

1. BACKGROUND:
Specialised Security Services (SSS) previously conducted a project concerning Mr. Izaak Postma in which historical complaints and SAPS criminal cases associated with his name were examined.
The identified SAPS matters were:
Tweespruit SAPS Case 90/12/2022 – finalised as withdrawn.
Fairland SAPS Case 23/01/2023 – finalised/closed as undetected.
Kimberley SAPS Case 950/01/2020 – confirmed by Kimberley SAPS as closed as undetected.
None of these matters resulted in a criminal conviction against Mr. Postma.
2. SUBSEQUENT COMPLAINT AND INTERVENTION:
During 2025, SSS received a further complaint concerning Mr. Postma in connection with the Kimberley matter.
Following the appointment of SSS by the complainant, Mr. Postma was contacted and confronted with the allegations and circumstances that had been raised.
Mr. Postma cooperated with the process and engaged with the complainant regarding the outstanding dispute.
As a result of these discussions, a payment agreement was entered into between the parties.
3. COMPLIANCE WITH PAYMENT AGREEMENT:
According to information currently available to SSS, Mr. Postma has been honouring the payment agreement and making monthly payments to the complainant/client.
This conduct represents a significant change from the circumstances that gave rise to the previous SSS project.
4. SUBSEQUENT CONDUCT:
Since the 2025 matter, SSS has received no further complaints concerning Mr. Postma.
Mr. Postma has also expressed his intention to change his circumstances, rebuild his life and conduct his future business activities honestly and responsibly.
He is currently operating under the business name IM Projects.
5. CURRENT ASSESSMENT:
SSS recognises that circumstances can change and that an individual should be assessed on current conduct as well as historical information.
The historical SAPS matters must be viewed within their proper legal context.
A case being withdrawn or closed as undetected does not, in itself, establish either criminal guilt or the falsity of the original allegations.
Similarly, the existence of a complaint does not constitute proof of criminal guilt.
In the most recent matter brought to SSS's attention, Mr. Postma cooperated when confronted, entered into a payment arrangement with the complainant and, according to available information, has continued to honour that agreement.
Most importantly, no further complaints have been reported to SSS since 2025.
6. SSS OBSERVATION:
SSS acknowledges the apparent change in Mr. Postma's conduct and his stated commitment to conducting his future business activities honestly.
While SSS will continue to distinguish between verified facts, allegations and criminal convictions, the information presently available indicates that Mr. Postma has taken steps to address the outstanding dispute and has, to date, maintained the agreed payment arrangement.
SSS, therefore, considers the current circumstances materially different from those documented in the previous project.
SSS will continue to assess information objectively
and will recognise demonstrable changes in conduct where supported by evidence.
