SUCCESS PROJECT: CHANTEL YOLANDA CATHERINA FERREIRA OLIVER ARRESTED (PART 4)

LATEST DEVELOPMENT:
On 4 September 2026, Chantel Yolanda Catherina Ferreira Oliver was located and apprehended at 149 Corlett Laan, Wilropark, during a joint operation involving Specialised Security Services (SSS), Mr. Mike Bolhuis, and SSS Specialist Investigator Mr. Ray Koch, in support of the ongoing investigative efforts of Naboomspruit SAPS.
SSS commends Capt. Van Wyk and Sgt. Ramada of Naboomspruit SAPS for their persistence, professionalism, and commitment.
This arrest demonstrates the value of consistent investigation, lawful information-sharing and effective cooperation between SAPS and specialist private investigators.
CURRENT CASE:
The arrest relates to a fraud matter registered at Naboomspruit SAPS under CAS 223/03/2025 and Court Case 409/2025.
A warrant of arrest was issued in terms of Section 43 of the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977.
The warrant records an alleged fraud offence committed on 30 November 2024 in the Mookgophong district.
BACKGROUND:
Ms. Oliver has featured in previous SSS projects concerning fraud-related conduct and complaints received from members of the public.
These matters span several years and involve allegations of similar methods of gaining trust, receiving payment, and failing to provide promised goods or services.
PREVIOUS SSS PROJECTS:
The original investigation concerned representations that Ms Oliver could assist members of the public in renewing their driver's licences.
Payments were allegedly received without the promised services being provided.
She was found guilty in at least one such matter and ordered to repay the complainant.
The previous SSS project recorded a six-month imprisonment component linked to compliance with the agreed repayment terms, as well as a five-year suspended sentence.
In 2022, further complaints arose after Ms. Oliver allegedly advertised blankets for sale through community WhatsApp groups and Facebook Marketplace. Buyers allegedly made payments for goods that were not delivered.
The following fraud cases were recorded:
Roodepoort SAPS CAS 382/06/2022.
Bethlehem SAPS CAS 232/06/2022.
Krugersdorp SAPS CAS 412/06/2022.
Previous SSS reporting also alleged that Ms. Oliver defrauded her landlady and impersonated Mr. Mike Bolhuis in an attempt to obtain further money.
This conduct formed part of the public exposure in The New Mike Bolhuis Series, Season 2.
A further fraud case was subsequently opened at Naboomspruit SAPS under CAS 223/03/2025.
She was traced to Roodepoort and arrested on 13 November 2025, with SSS previously acknowledging the assistance of the West Rand K9 Unit.
MODUS OPERANDI:
When the previous matters are considered together with the current investigation, the complaints indicate an apparent recurring pattern.
This history may be relevant to establishing a possible modus operandi, including:
Gaining the trust of members of the public through representations concerning goods or services.
Requesting or receiving payment in advance.
Allegedly failing to provide the promised goods or services.
Providing repeated excuses, delays or assurances when confronted.
Allegedly exploiting personal relationships or falsely claiming associations with trusted individuals or entities.
Multiple fraud complaints arising in different jurisdictions over a period of several years.
OUTSTANDING CASES - PUBLIC URGED TO COME FORWARD:
SSS is aware of further outstanding cases and complaints involving the accused.
Any person who has opened a criminal case, suffered financial loss, or experienced similar conduct involving Ms. Oliver is urged to come forward.
Multiple complaints involving similar conduct may assist investigators and prosecutors in identifying a recurring modus operandi and establishing the full extent of the alleged activity.
Complainants are encouraged to preserve all available evidence, including WhatsApp messages, advertisements, proof of payment, bank details, emails, voice notes, screenshots, invoices, receipts, and promises relating to delivery or repayment.
Where a SAPS case has already been opened, complainants are requested to provide the relevant police station and CAS number.
SAPS AND SSS COOPERATION:
Specialised Security Services recognises the hard work and consistency of Naboomspruit SAPS, particularly Capt. Van Wyk and Sgt. Ramada. SSS, through Mr. Mike Bolhuis and Specialist Investigator Mr. Ray Koch, assisted with the investigation, tracing, and operational support that culminated in Ms. Oliver being located and apprehended on 4 September 2026.
The operation highlights the effectiveness of sustained cooperation between SAPS and specialist private investigators.
Public exposure alone does not bring offenders before the courts.
Complainants must report offences, evidence must be preserved, investigators must follow the available information, and the criminal justice process must be allowed to take its course.

Previous convictions and established court outcomes must be distinguished from pending charges and allegations that have not yet been determined by a court.
References to current or outstanding matters constitute allegations unless and until proven in a court of law.
