FINAL BETRAYAL:

THE VILJOEN COUPLE'S FLEE FROM JUSTICE ENDS IN ARREST FOR ORGANISED RETAIL THEFT IN FLORIDA

THE INEVITABLE CONCLUSION:

Specialised Security Services (SSS) hereby informs the public, past victims, and the authorities of the latest,

and entirely predictable, developments concerning the fugitive couple, Mr. Peet Viljoen and Mrs. Mel Viljoen.

Since May 2025, SSS has published multiple projects detailing the extensive criminal activities of the Viljoen couple.

These included fraud, theft, racketeering, intimidation, extortion, and hate speech.

We warned that the couple was fleeing South Africa to evade justice, misrepresenting themselves as victims,

and would continue their criminal behaviour on foreign soil.

Our warnings have been tragically validated.

On 10 March 2026, the Viljoen couple was arrested in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, Florida,

on charges of Organised Retail Theft. This is not a case of simple shoplifting.

This is the Viljoen playbook: a calculated, repeated pattern of deception and theft, now exported to the United States.

CHRONOLOGY OF DECEPTION: A TIMELINE TO DISASTER

  • April – May 2025:

    • The Pretoria High Court orders the Viljoens to stop selling Tammy Taylor franchises.

    • They are under investigation for the theft of stock valued at over R70 million.

    • SSS exposes their plan to flee South Africa.

  • July 2025:

    • After claiming they would not leave, the Viljoens flee to the USA.

    • Mr. Viljoen posts racist rants ("I don't speak baboon anymore") to fabricate a narrative of persecution and seek asylum.

    • The NPA confirms six active cases against them.

  • August 2025:

    • SSS confirms the couple is residing in Palm Beach County, Florida.

    • We issue a direct warning to the American public to be wary of their business dealings.

    • Mrs. Viljoen attempts to intimidate our investigators with "American authorities."

  • 10 March 2026:

    • The culmination of their arrogance.

    • Mr. Peet Viljoen and Mrs. Mel Viljoen are arrested in Boca Raton, Florida.

THE NEW CRIMES: FROM RACKETEERING TO RETAIL THEFT IN THE USA

  • According to the Boca Raton Police Department arrest report, obtained by Local 10 News, the couple’s “survival mode” in America consisted of a coordinated, six-month-long theft spree.

    • THE CHARGE:

      • Organised Retail Theft, a felony.

    • THE METHOD:

      • The couple worked "in concert" to systematically steal from the Publix Supermarket at 1001 South Federal Highway, Boca Raton.

    • THE VALUE:

      • They stole over $5,300 worth of goods.

    • THE ITEMS STOLEN:

      • The couple stole high-end items, including La Marca Prosecco, San Pellegrino, and Maison Perrier sparkling water.

      • They continued to project an image of affluence while funding their lifestyle through theft.

    • THE CONFESSION:

      • When confronted, Mrs. Mel Viljoen confessed, stating she was stealing because she was in "survival mode" and had not worked since arriving in the U.S. because she lacks a visa.

      • This is an admission of premeditated, ongoing criminality.

    • THE PATTERN:

      • Police noted additional incidents at Publix stores in Lighthouse Point, Broward County, where thefts went unreported due to lower values.

      • This confirms a persistent and organised operation.

SSS ANALYSIS: THE PSYCHE OF A CRIMINAL

  • The Viljoens' actions in the USA are perfectly consistent with their history in South Africa.

  • They are not "victims" or people down on their luck. They are predators.

    • ENTITLEMENT:

      • They believe the rules do not apply to them.

      • They stole luxury goods because they feel entitled to a lifestyle they did not earn.

    • MANIPULATION:

      • Mrs. Viljoen’s "survival mode" excuse is a classic manipulation tactic designed to garner sympathy and minimize their actions.

      • This is the same tactic Mr. Viljoen used when he lied about his qualifications and his reasons for leaving South Africa.

    • PATTERN OF ORGANISED CRIME:

      • Just as they orchestrated the sale of non-existent franchises in South Africa (racketeering), they orchestrated a coordinated theft ring in Florida (organised retail theft).

      • The methodology is the same: plan, deceive, take, and then lie when caught.

    • ESCALATION:

      • Their criminality has not ceased; it has merely changed form.

      • From defrauding South Africans of millions of Rands to stealing sparkling water and prosecco from an American grocery store.

      • This is the inevitable devolution of a life built on lies.

A FINAL WARNING TO THE AMERICAN PUBLIC AND AUTHORITIES:

  • The Viljoen couple is currently being held in the Palm Beach County jail on a $10,000 bond each.

  • This is not the end of their story.

  • TO US LAW ENFORCEMENT:

    • We urge you to investigate the source of the Viljoens' income since their arrival.

    • How have they been funding their lifestyle beyond these thefts?

    • Are there other victims in the beauty industry in Florida, as we warned in August 2025?

    • We have extensive documentation on their modus operandi and are willing to cooperate fully with American authorities.

  • TO THE US PUBLIC:

    • Do not be fooled by their pleas of innocence or their claims of being refugees.

    • They are fugitives from justice.

    • Mr. Viljoen is a disbarred attorney and a confessed racist who attempted to use hate speech to gain asylum.

    • Mrs. Viljoen is a confessed thief who has now admitted to a crime spree.

    • They are manipulators who will say anything to avoid the consequences of their actions.

JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL:

The arrest of Peet and Mel Viljoen in Florida proves that you cannot run from your past.

The long arm of the law eventually catches up.

These arrests are only for their crimes in Florida. The victims in South Africa are watching.

The cases of fraud, theft, and racketeering are still active with the SAPS and the NPA.

We will ensure that when they have answered for their crimes in the United States,

they are extradited to South Africa to face the justice they have so desperately tried to escape.

We thank the Boca Raton Police Department and the Palm Beach County authorities for their diligent work.
