VALSKERMBATALJON VERHALE
Ons het op 19 Julie 2025 die boek Valskermbataljon Verhale by die Vrystaat Kunstefees,
in samewerking met Naledi, vrygestel. Dit was ’n reuse sukses.
Die verkope van die eerste boek het alle verwagtinge oortref,
en by elke geleentheid of fees waar boekgesprekke gehou is, het die boeke uitverkoop.
Teen die einde van 2025 was die boek ook die algehele topverkoper op die nie-fiksielys.
Ons het reeds die stories vir Boek 2 ingewin en die samestelling daarvan voltooi.
Die boek is tans by die drukkers en sal teen die begin van Julie 2026 beskikbaar wees.
KLERKSDORP BOEKFEES
VALSKERMBATALJON VERHALE - VOLUME 1: OOK TOPVERKOPER !
Daar heers groot afwagting vir Boek 2!
Tydens ons eerste boekgesprek van 2026, op 6 Junie 2026 by die Klerksdorp Boekefees,
het ons reeds die geleentheid gehad om albei boeke te bespreek.
Die saal was stampvol, en mense het selfs buite die saal gestaan en gesit om na die gesprekke te luister.
Ongeveer 300 mense het die gesprekke bygewoon.
Alle voorraad van Boek 1 is weereens uitverkoop.
Dit was ’n heerlike ervaring om saam met mede-veterane Johan Leech, Krige van Heerden,
Mike Bolhuis en die algemene publiek te kon kuier en gesels oor Boek 2, sowel as Boek 1.
ANDER ONLANGSE ONDERHOUDE EN GESPREKKE RAKENDE BOEK 2:
RSG fm - Skrywers en Boeke - 17 Junie 2026:
Francois Bekker gesels oor drie nie-fiksie boeke wat hy kan aanbeveel – VALSKERMBATALJON VERHALE, saamgestel deur Mike Bolhuis, PARLEMENTPRAATJIES deur Pieter Mulder en MY LIFE deur Bill Clinton.
Valskermbataljon Verhale word bespreek tussen 21:40 en 25:10 tydstip van die gesprek.
INNIBOS 2-5 JULIE 2026
Ons volgende boekgesprek waaroor ons baie opgewonde is, is by Innibos.
Ons het die voorreg om by die jaar se Innibos fees ook te gesels oor die Valskermbataljon Verhale Boek 2.
Ons sien met groot verwagting uit na die geleentheid.

VALSKERMBATALJON VERHALE:
On 19 July 2025, we officially launched Valskermbataljon Verhale - Volume 1,
at the Free State Arts Festival in collaboration with Naledi, and it proved to be a tremendous success.
Sales of the first book exceeded all expectations.
At every event and festival where book discussions were held, all available copies sold out.
By the end of 2025, the book had also become one of the top-selling titles on the Non-Fiction bestseller list.
The stories for Volume 2 have already been collected and compiled.
The book is currently at the printers and will be available from early July 2026.
KLERKSDORP BOOK FESTIVAL
VALSKERMBATALJON VERHALE – VOLUME 1: ANOTHER BESTSELLER!
There is great anticipation surrounding the release of Volume 2.
During our first book discussion of 2026, held on 6 June 2026 at the Klerksdorp Book Festival,
we had the opportunity to discuss both Volume 1 and the forthcoming Volume 2.
The venue was packed to capacity, with people standing and even sitting outside the hall to listen to the discussions. Approximately 300 people attended the event.
Once again, all available copies of Volume 1 were sold out.
It was a wonderful experience to spend time with fellow veterans Johan Leech, Krige van Heerden,
Mike Bolhuis, and members of the public while discussing both Volume 1 and the upcoming Volume 2.
INNIBOS FESTIVAL – 2 TO 5 JULY 2026
Our next book discussion, which we are greatly looking forward to, will take place at the Innibos Festival.
We have the privilege of discussing Valskermbataljon Verhale - Volume 2 at this year's festival
and eagerly anticipate the occasion.
